A world leader in laser measurement technology

ForestAce®300

The ForestAce® is a simple yet powerful tool for positioning and measuring attributes in the forest.

The ForestAce® 300 is based on the highly successful LaserAce® 300. The ForestAce® not only has 2 and three point heightening routines but also has extra firmware which functions for remote calculation of tree diameters and trunk volumes.

The ForestAce® 300 is a high performance handheld reflectorless laser measurement system. The ForestAce® 300 will measure distances up to 300m plus elevation and heights, using the integrated digital inclinometer.

The system has been designed for ease of use. Just point and shoot at any target with the aid of the integral red dot aiming scope. Readings immediately appear on the back panel LCD display (backlit).

Using a simple telescope with vertical graduations, the tree is "framed" between any two stadia hairs and the laser is fired.

The diameter of the trunk at that point is calculated and displayed. Sight two further points on the trunk and the height and volume of timber between the two points is also calculated.

This highly versatile handheld instrument can also be simply upgraded from 2D to 3D and then be used for mapping, and interfaced to 3rd party GPS.

Designed to reduce survey time in the field, ForestAce® 300 weights only 600g and is powered by just 2 internal AA batteries with an average of 5hrs continuous use life. An RS232 data socket is provided to output raw and calculated data to peripheral devices such as computers, data loggers and printers.

ForestAce® 300 NOW comes with Bluetooth®.
